Dan Van Wert is a writer, actor and filmmaker, currently pursuing an MFA degree in Film and Media Arts at Temple University. He is interested in learning and participating in all aspects of filmmaking, but especially, holds a passion for narrative screenwriting. A member of the Screen Actor’s Guild, Van Wert has appeared in more than 35 films, as well as various television programs, music videos, advertisements and industrials. He is a graduate of Florida State University, with a B.A. in English; Creative Writing, and is a published poet and songwriter. In January, 2008, Van Wert was appointed Director of the NextFrame International Student Film Festival.
